This field trip will explore methane seep ecosystems preserved in the deep-water sediments of the Cretaceous forearc in the Coast Ranges. Seep deposits are preserved as anomalous limestone blocks and host rich invertebrate fossils as well as evidence of microbial activity. Cost includes transportation. Meals not included.
