On this trip, we will visit Famennian trace fossils sites in Ashtabula County, Ohio, and western Pennsylvania, including Rusophycus-like mega burrows and traces made by phyllocarids. We will also visit associated covered bridges and sand barrens, discussing the bedrock, beach ridges, and terroir of this region. Cost includes transportation, snacks, and water. Lunch at Covered Bridge Pizza Parlor and Eatery (cost not included). Accessibility: Rubber boots are highly recommended as there will be some walking in cold water.
