This two-day field trip offers a review of proposed nomenclatural refinements in elevating the Mancos Shale, preserving historical nomenclatures, noting compatibility of surface and subsurface nomenclature, examining biostratigraphic correlations, and proposing shifts in lateral nomenclature boundaries to prevent “state line” unconformities. Cost includes transportation, hotel (16 and 17 May), breakfast, lunch, snacks, water, and one dinner at Ray’s Tavern in Green River.
