Bears Ears National Monument, one of the largest and arguably most scenic national monuments in the U.S., sprawls across about 90 miles of amazing red-rock country in southeastern Utah. It fills a huge gap between two national parks and several other protected areas. This trip will explore many spectacular exposures that illustrate several key geologic stories from the Ancestral Rocky Mountains to carving the modern topography. Cost includes transportation, hotel (21 and 22 May), breakfast, lunch, snacks, water, entrance fees, cost of materials.
