18" x 23". From abstract: The western portion of the Trans-Mexican volcanic belt in central Nayarit is no more than 4.5 m.y. old. This Pliocene to Holocene volcanic arc overlies basalt about 10 m.y. old, and rhyolitic sequences about 20 and 80 m.y. old. The pre-middle Oligocene rocks may be right-laterally offset along the trend of the arc, but no fundamental fault has been located. Major strike-slip faulting, if present, is probably older than 10 m.y.
