One 32" x 16" sheet. From abstract: The section crosses the most deformed part of southern Oklahoma aulacogen, where geologic and geophysical data define the general structural configuration. The history of southern Oklahoma can be traced for more than a billion years to show a close relationship between events in the Precambrian and later Paleozoic sedimentation and structural style and direction. From north to south the Arbuckle Mountains, Ardmore Basin, Wichita-Criner Arch, Marietta Basin, and Muenster Arch are shown on the cross section. The aulacogen was intensely compressed during Pennsylvanian deformation. The structures south of the aulacogen are fewer and smaller. The framework rocks for the aulacogen are massive granitic rocks yielding ages between 1,300 and 1.400 m.y. These are cut by dikes of several compositions striking N. 60° W. Some of these dikes are near the age of the host rocks and others are Cambrian.
