Topics covered will include a primer for the physical properties of minerals and rocks, paleomagnetic methods, field sampling, data collection and analysis. Examples of paleomagnetic results and studies will be used to illustrate how to approach the literature in this field, and to enable participants to better utilize paleomagnetic data and results. We welcome and encourage students and early career geoscientists to join our short course.
