From the original catalog copy: Granite rocks can be traced directly into rocks of volcanic aspect in only a few known sizeable igneous bodies other than those associated with ringdike complexes. The Cloudy Pass Batholith in the Northern Cascade Mountains is one of these. It consists largely of labradorite granodiorite and is remarkable for its chilled borders, associated porphyry plugs, and intrusive breccias.
