Description: The trip will start at Overlook Park in White Rock with an overview of the tectonic and volcanic history of this region. Stops include the Valles Caldera and a discussion of new geophysical data collected by SAGE field program students, outcrops of the youngest eruption, the Hot Dry Rock site (might be reopened), Soda Dam, and Jemez Pueblo.
Considerations: This field trip will have several stops along a large loop between Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Los Alamos, and Jemez Pueblo. Snacks and water will be available throughout the day and a stop for lunch is included. The trip cost includes transportation, snacks, water, and lunch.
