Northeastern Section

The Northeastern Section was founded by the Council of the Geological Society of America in April 1965. Learn more on the Northeastern Section page on our main website. 

In the United States, the Northeastern Section includes the the District of Columbia and the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
