The bibliography for this compilation includes 488 references spanning the period 1938 through 1968 and one reference for 1930. Papers concerning crinoid morphology, paleoecology, optical properties of plates, stem orientation, parasites, and injured specimens are included in the bibliography. Although most of these papers do not include illustrated or described species, they are listed because they add significantly to information about Paleozoic crinoids. Monographs and papers of special importance, or considered by me to be major contributions to the knowledge of Paleozoic crinoids, are indicated by an asterisk (*) in the bibliography. Papers overlooked in this volume can be included in updated bibliographies published in the future.
