The workshop will provide an overview of in-situ U-Th-Pb geochronology of common Pb-bearing minerals. The workshop will be split into two parts: one covering U-Th-Pb ‘analysis’ of common Pb-bearing minerals, and part two covering ‘reference materials’ for U-Th-Pb analysis of common Pb-bearing minerals.
Each session provides background information and recent progress made followed by directed discussion sessions that focus on issues for future development and application of the method. Talks will be made by invited community speakers and there will be time for attendees to present their own nano-talks highlighting applications, new directions, and potential reference materials for community development. Coffee and snacks will be provided.
