Digital outcrop models support both academic research and industry workflows in structural geology, sedimentology, and geotechnical analysis. Advances in photogrammetric reconstruction facilitate generation of large, high-resolution 3D outcrop models, yet texture resampling and compression often reduce image clarity and obscure fine-scale geological features.

This workshop demonstrates how to process and use Pix4Dmatic outputs and the Open Photogrammetry Format (OPF) within VRGS to preserve image fidelity during interpretation. Participants link measurements and annotations to source imagery while maintaining full three-dimensional context. This integrated workflow strengthens reproducibility, improves interpretive confidence, and supports rigorous digital outcrop characterization in research and applied settings.

Coffee, snacks, and lunch will be provided.
