Tackling these and other questions, the authors have packed this paper with hard-to-find data and some never before published: numerous tables of Euler poles describing former locations of all the known relevant plates; tables and diagrams of relative plate velocities; and map reconstructions showing former locations of the North American, Farallon, Kula, and Izanagi plates.
They present a model for the displacement history for western North America, eastern Eurasia, and adjacent oceanic plates for the past 180 m.y.
